not dead yet!? what does that mean?
well. it means you’re not dead yet!
it’s also an app. it’s an app about connection. especially when we live alone. when we’re older. when we might not make regular contact with our friends and family.
i had an idea. this is the origin story of not dead yet!
i live alone. not completely alone. i share my home and my life with two pups. maisy and hugo.

they bunk together at night. they share a crate. they each have their own bed. but, sometimes they sleep in the same bed. they're cuddlers.
i sleep in my bedroom, happily alone. I lie in bed and worry about one thing.
what if I don’t wake up in the morning? now, don’t get upset. it's a fact of life. we die.
here’s the thing. if i don’t get up one morning, how long will it take for someone to discover that i've not arisen? maybe i'm not dead yet...but need some help.
will maisy and hugo be okay? that's my big question. i live alone. i work at home. sometimes i can go days without making connections with my people.
I designed the not dead yet! app to be fun. to give you a smile every day. to share a smile with your people. to connect in a world where connection isn’t as easy as it once was.
I designed this app for you and for the maisys and hugos in our lives. or any other reason you have for connection.
how it works:
you get up in the morning. or the afternoon. or early evening. we’re not the bedtime police. you’re a grownup. you can decide when to sleep, when to wake. when to toss. when to turn.
you pick up your phone. open the not dead yet! app. you see a simple daisy. a daisy. a daisy that you’re not pushing up! huzzah! that’s the good news. you share the news with your people by tapping the daisy. you’ll get a short, silly message from the us. a smile to start your day, and...
your people, the ones in your daisy circle receive a flower emoji in their messages. a simple text. they don’t need the app to be one of your people....
but, if they get the app, they’ll receive a different message every day, our daisy, not an emoji, and an extra giggle or two.
starting the day with a smile is a great way to LIVE! knowing you're not alone? the best part.
